Ashley and Alburt

A Wedding Fit For A Florist

Ashley and Alburt’s Four Seasons wedding was every glam bride’s dream and because this bride is a florist by profession, precise execution of her luxurious vision of white and gold was paramount.

Fuscia Designs was elated to work with the bride to make her magazine worthy wedding come to fruition. Ashley had strong ideas and was always drawn back to a tighter composition but nevertheless, flowers were to be in abundance. We used mainly white garden roses, peonies, ranunculus and hydrangea with dark gardenia greens.

The ceremonial arbour had to be a statement piece that took both Ashley and her guests’ breath away and we did our best not to disappoint. Ashley described it as the “focal point” of the ceremony. Smaller floral arrangements sat atop glossy white pillars that lined the aisle and were later placed in front of the band, so that not a space nor detail was without flowers or decor.

We knew that the ultimate dream wedding reception included flowers seen from every angle, so we suggested over the table floral centerpieces on gold metal frames with low hanging flowers and candles. We created two types of arrangements; the first sat atop the round tables and featured loose white blooms in tall gold vases with smaller bouquets at the base. The second variation, which could be found on the plexi gallery tables, included a 7-ft gold-framed canopy with a runner of white florals and three smaller hedges in gold vases.

The sweetheart table was made by the groom himself and the goal was to envelop the entire front of the table with a plethora of flowers and gold votive candles. The dessert table although abundant with gorgeous cakes and sweets, absolutely had to have large floral arrangements to pay hommage to Ashley’s Brazilian background and traditions.

And to top off the exquisite floral focused decor, Ashley used her skills as a florist to design a special favor that also doubled as an escort card. Each guest received a single white rose, packaged in a personalized box. They were displayed atop a gold bar back. White and gold and glamour in every detail. Not a space nor detail was without flowers.

Thank you to Ashley and Alburt for letting us be a part of their magical day and for WedLuxe Magazine for featuring their wedding and our floral designs.

At Fuscia Designs, we strive to make floral dreams come true.
